    Just realize ā€œZakā€ and ā€œStrange Brewā€ were both by Deering because both were ā€˜watercolorsā€™ today. Learn something new every day. 2 of my fave strips.

    triss49 -Thanks for the comment - ā€˜preciate that! (iā€™m John Deering ). The watercolor process is an experiment iā€™ve tried off and on, and while I think it looks okay online, iā€™m not as sure about the result after it goes to press. The printed versions, at least in the papers iā€™ve seen, have been too dark, opaque and smudgy. Wiley Miller pioneered something like this in his strip several years back, but after a couple of years, I think he may have transitioned to another process.
