No we dont want to establish freedom there but we want to give them the oportunity to establish it for themselves. Without some warlord with drug money enslaving the local populace.Or is that to hard of a concept for you to grasp?

If you purposefully select unarmed civilian men, women and children who are going about their daily peaceful business and slaughter them in order to produce fear in the hearts of the rest of the population and coerce them to your will, then you are a terrorist.

All “revolutions” are the result of terrorism, most often on BOTH sides. The first thing you learn about war is that “Man’s inhumanity to Man”- doesn’t take sides.
Choking out “terrorism” will also require choking out insanity, from all sides- not likely.
davesmith; They have to kick out the druglords themselves. Democracy is not an auto-pilot, there are some things a population needs to master before achieving democracy; among that is a certains stability and education.

About the cartoon: wishful thinking.
Opinion: Lets get our of their lives. They don’t want nor need “democracy” U.S. style where money counts more than the people’s needs.
Lets worry about our land ONLY and stop throwing money and lives down the toilet to no benefit except for tho$e that make money doing their bu$$ines.
