I’ve been enjoying this arc, and today’s twist at the end was hilarious. There’s a ton or two of politicians (and I’m not just talking about Chris Christie) who really are exactly that changeable, and can’t tell the difference between “kidding” and fact. (There are many times that number of tonnage among the voters who are even worse……..)
As I’ve said before, this is just what the doctor ordered for the N.F.L. It deflects attention from what’s most concerning, the issue of concussions. The N.F.L. can talk about integrity all they want, yet show zero when it comes to addressing the ongoing concussion issue. To them it’s all about the shield. Always was, always will be.
