I suspect very few people know where Saskatoon is or that they are the home of the Saskatoon Blades major junior hockey team!

Ah yes, Saskatoon, a city in Saskatchewan, a province in western Canada which is part of an area more commonly known as The Prairies. Haven’t been there yet, but I did spend many a childhood Christmas visiting my grandfather next door in Winnipeg. BRRRRR!

Hi guys, I’m in Victoria. Haven’t had the pleasure of meeting the Blades but have been to many Salmon Kings games.

(If I’d only learn to spell I wouldn’t have to pop back in and edit!)

There’s a brain freeze pixie I know. She goes by the name of “Antartica”. So called that because a brain freeze cause by her (for one minute) feels like a land mass!

When I get brain freeze, I press the ball of my thumb up on my hard palate for a few seconds - it works.

Saskatchewan is where crazies live. haha j/k

When I drink a Slurpee, I don’t actually get a brain freeze. I get absolutely killer pain in my sinuses, so much so that I have to stop whatever I’m doing until the pain passes. My family calls it a “Slurpee attack”. Fortunately this happens only once per Slurpee.

My wife doesn’t understand why I continue to drink Slurpees when this happens to me. But I live in the Slurpee Capital of the World (as proclaimed by Southland Corporation), so I have to contribute my part so we keep the title.

Ah Saskatoon, I know it well. I haven’t had a brain freeze in awhile, but summer is coming and I am sure I will receive one then.
