It’s not a bee… it’s a termite.
Actually a carpenter bee. A few burrow into my deck every year …
Steve and Regina are right. Nasty little bugs that don’t have a clue as to what honey is, but certainly like to destroy unpainted wood.
What I do is watch the hole. When the bee goes in, I poke a stick in the hole to kill it. One dead bee.
