Theoretical papers are like any other product. Marketing and positioning is everything. That’s my theory, which completely overturns Socrates’ system of product placement.

I hate to say it, but it’s true. In school papers I used to grab Latin quotations from the works of famous authors to place them as headings on chapters. Finally got caught making up some of the quotations. These days, of course, anyone can translate such things on the Internet. It was fun while it lasted.
