Some years ago we went through this with our Dalmation Fido at the age of 16, and last year Bebe, the sweetest cat ever, at the age of 20. I still sorely miss both of them. Best wishes Frank.
Wendy, Freckles, Jenny-fur, Jenny-fur II, Tilly, Tiger, Max, and Toshie, my companion of the night, They were also waiting to welcome Izzy to the kingdom of Light.Love to you and your family.
I have been there several times with elderly pets. As much as it hurts, I have to be with them. As they come into my life I make a vow to myself and to them that I will see them through their lives, that we will travel it together. Peace to you, Frank.
This makes me cry. I’ve lost so many dogs over the years, some this way and others just passed on their own. It’s horribly devastating. My heart goes out to you frank.
Izzy knew you were there for her.She and Tommy are together again. No one can tell me that animals do’t go to heaven.
I actually had a vision/visitation from my dog Tassle when she passed.I was only 12, but I know what is true.We had taken her to the vet, I didn’t know she was sick bad.
But I was out walking in a pasture and Tassle came running to me.It was so real I knelt down to take her in my arms. When she was still just out of reach, she vanished.I’m sure she and God knew she had to let me see her.Later we went to the vet and my mom waited till we got home to tell me.The time I saw her was no doubt when she passed. She was my companion, my friend, who always knew my feeling, my collie to roam the surroundings with.
Sometimes, the only way you can deal with your loss and your pain is to put it out where all can see it. It has been written, a sorrow shared is a sorrow divided.
Thank you for sharing Izzy with us. My Lexi had to be put to sleep in March. It still hurts to not have her around. She was 16, and had kidney failure.

As long as you stay with her, she’ll know that she isn’t alone. It will be easier for her.
