I don’t care how open-minded you are, THAT would be a little off-puting. If we had been friends way back when, I would take her up on the dinner idea. If merely acquaintances, I’m not so sure.
Something similar once happened to a guy I went to High School with.As he told the story, several years After High school, he and a friend were out one night looking for a nice “Recreational” Fight.Yeah, he was something of a Jerk. They went into a place that was a well known gay bar and were looking around for someone who would be a “Challenge”. Best I can say for them: They never picked on Small Guys. They actually Wanted it to hurt Them, too. While they were looking around, the door opened and in walked a Really Hot looking blonde.“George” said he almost immediately changed his mind about their Plan for the evening and smiled at her.She walked over, looked at him, did a double take and said: “George? What the hell are you doing here?”It was someone he’d played Football with for 4 years. They’d drunk Lots of beer together.“George” said that it was the first time in his Life that he had absolutely Nothing to say. How do you tell a good friend that you came out looking for someone to Beat Up On? “George” said that was the last time he ever got the urge to beat up on anyone just because of who he was. It was a Rude awakening for him. Discovering that He was one of the kind of people he disliked. .

Be nice, Gina, you’ve thrown him (your) curves. Give him a minute to reset.
