“The two women on the right seem to be reenacting a scene from the “Orange is the New Black.”

    “Pride and Prejudice—The Lost Scenes.”

“Insufferable!! Insufferable!!”The woman in pink’s arm seems to be about 4 feet long, and both seem to have broken them at some point.

Actually, the Hokey Pokey used to be quite a violent game.

A somewhat enlarged image can be found at the only work, by this artist, so far, to appear in Mr. Melcher’s blog (yesterday). Again, it is a cropped image (no lower left signature). A full, larger image can be found here.Bing translates the title as The Hot Hand. It isn’t, as far as I can tell, currently shown online by its current-location (other than pointing to its page at that full image website). It is representative of naïve art. The artist’s Wikipedia page. The Google translated French Wikipedia page lists several of his other works.First work, by this artist, to appear here.

Y’know even seeing the title of this one doesn’t give me the remotest clue about what’s going on….

I’d translate it as ‘The warm hand’, as in ‘a warm hand of comfort’.

Apres Ring of Dishonor 1891 – the one in blue seems unable to break the hammer lock, even though the match is over.

You know, I was first thinking along the lines of “Indian burn,” but (the fact that my husband and I both have some Cherokee heritage notwithstanding) I was reluctant to use the term. It would have fit nicely with the actual title, though.

I’m glad to hear it. That’s what it’s all about.
