The number one rule of parenting is remember to have fun! Don't worry, sweetie. The doctor just wants to see if there's a skeleton hiding inside your body. But she probably won't find anything. X-Ray
It’s sort of fun to play on a child’s naiveté. Why else do we tell them fairy tales and bedtime stories? And Just-So tales. It’s one pleasure in being a cynical adult. My relatives liked to tease in a benign way, and I fondly remember many instances of it. I’d write some here, but they’d probably seem stupid, not nostalgic. Oh, okay. I asked my father why football players on TV had big shoulders, and he said it was because they read a lot (I suspect that’s not true). And he would pump up his bicep by blowing through an invisible hole in his thumb (little kids still fall for that, because I do it myself for them).

Of course, there are multiple definitions of fun. Some are not permitted in some red states.
