Gracie: I'm mixing red and yellow to get green. Girl: I mix red and yellow to make orange. Gracie: Not me. I mix red and yellow to get green. Gracie: But,for some reason, I keep getting orange.
I forget who published some children’s books back in the sixties, one of which was titled, “The Color Kittens.” It was about two kittens in house-painting uniforms trying to make green paint. They mixed two different colors of house paint (at least the containers looked like house paint cans) at a time and came up with pink, orange and purple before mixing blue and yellow together, finally getting the green paint they were seeking.
