    You’d think they would figure I don’t feed them, my mate does. Why are they circling my ankles every morning? Why do they look at me with those eyes? I have resisted their hypnosis for years, but I feel strangely compelled. What is this unholy power?

    pouncingtiger, use the word “cats” not “pets” – my dogs are not property, but they don’t own me either; they’re like slightly-lower-ranking members of the household.

    This difference is about 25% of why we don’t have cats (the other 75% being allergies).
