I pay about 49 cents a dozen for eggs…. I own 4 hens ;) and I have plenty of yard space for them to ramble about on picking up bugs and weed seeds. I nearly died laughing at a msn story putting home raised eggs at some impossible $200.00 a month price tag. What kinda food ya feeding those chicks? .
Yeah, when I was growing up, we had plenty of yard space also. Plenty of room to collect what you would step in! Funny thing about chickens, you build them a roost and feed them properly and you can let them roam without fencing. They don’t go anywhere!
