Claude’s not paying a lot of attention.

Sometimes he acts as though Clara is just scenery.

This oughta sharpen his thinking.

This is another oldie, of course….

with Cleo still on all fours.

But she has graduated to speech balloons… not just thoughts….

which means Claude can probably hear her, too.

When you get down to brass tacks, he should be listening to both of them more.

They might be trying to give him some important pointers.

Gotta love his pajamas, BTW…

if they didn’t have a collar, they’d look like the gold brocade ones I bought my then 5-year-old great niece in LA Chinatown, cos she loved to play Mulan.

The real reason Claude isn’t paying attention to Clara is news because he’s reading a future news article about Stormy Daniels having her own comic book and cartoon show where she is the heroin and Trump is the evil one.

Claude was tacking when he should have been jibing.

At least Nighthawks has the day of the week right. It is a Sunday and Claude is still in his jammies and reading the comics. (I wonder if newspapers still publish them on Sundays?)

We have it in print, Clara did try to warn him, twice.
