Unfortunate that she felt the need to put out before the wedding. Even more unfortunate when she finds out what a sleazeball Tad really is. But I don’t remember Drew being either pregnant or a mother in the previous run of this strip.
This is obviously a very, very old strip. There are no pregnant brides anymore. That is so 1980’s, or earlier. I haven’t officiated at a wedding with a pregnant bride in years. Lots and lots of brides who have one or more children, but not pregnant. 30 years ago I would have couples come requesting a wedding 2 weeks later, but today I have couples who schedule their weddings for a year from now, when the baby bump is gone, and their daughter is old enough to be the flower girl and their son can be the ring bearer.

No more bumps. After all, bumping together is what got her in that condition. :)

I guess I am just too “old fashioned”. I don’t like the idea that it is “cool” to be an unwed mother. And yes I know she is engaged.
