Might be more interesting if we had some “Makeover Disaster” shows where the “experts” got it all wrong. Or “We’re Stuck with the Wrong House” because the “experts” got that all wrong too.
The only one of these I know to be or to have been a real show is “I Hate My Kitchen.” The thing I didn’t like about IHMK, as opposed to “Kitchen Crashers” (both on DIY), is that IHMK makes the homeowners pay for the remodel, while KC (and in fact, all the “Crashers” shows) gives you the remodel. I can’t afford IHMK because I can’t afford to remodel my kitchen.

for some reason my wife has become addicted to these shows, but when i suggest moving, it’s “they’re going to have to cart me out of here forcibly.”
