I don’t detect any sarcasm, Commentator. I think Ms. Whosis is being very honest. (She can’t be a Von Tramp. She’s asking for a proposal, not just a proposition.)
Pawn shop raise the prices, Doc? Find one who has an heirloom ring she wants to be married in. Saved me a bundle then. Of course, QVC has been making up for it for years now.
Old comics, Funny. The guys were lithe and tanned and the women had the complexion of Shannon Doherty kept in a dark room. But the colorist somewhere loves that you noticed.

Just in case there’s any doubt, we’re back to stand-alone gags for now. Totally random. No plan. No grand scheme…
But plenty of scheming!

Love the coloring! I think this guy might need something for his heartburn or high blood pressure!

Wish I could draw like that. This strip really takes you back to the golden days of comics. … except for the sarcasm :)

Thanks John for answering my question last week. I thought I was too late when I wrote my comment on the last strip you did.

HectorPriam –um, are you sure that isn’t “bigamy” rather than “bigotry”? Actually, they’re both against the law, but oh, well….
Bargrove over 14 years ago
Yes, it could get better, but only if you propose.

Bigotry isn’t against the law yet. But it’s coming.
I’ve heard that bigamy is described as having one wife too many. I’ve also heard some folks describe marriage in the same terms.

…..And polyandry is having one husband too many.
I’ve also heard marriage described in those terms as well.
What we need is a term for “Unqualified to be married regardless of gender”?
MisngNOLA over 14 years ago
Rista, can we also get a term for “unqualified to be in the Congress regardless of political party” as well? :-)
