No way, that type of double play is nearly impossible. These writers need some basic sport training. The batter must have been walking to first base. And why didn’t the guy on third take out the catcher?
In panel #1 the pitcher has no sweat band on his right wrist. In panel #3 he does. Or maybe he slipped on his Michael Jackson victory glove. Pitcher actually looks like Roger Clemmons.
Not impossible if the second baseman were cheating in for a play at the plate, but why would he? Normal strategy would be to be further back, for a 4-6-3 DP.
Goshen must have been thrown off when Milford sent their uniforms out between pitches to get the big M put on them.
Good eye jamesmc10828 the “pitcher” in P3 also got a hair cut, changed out of his long-sleeved undershirt, put on 30 pds and changed positions to 1B.
One run game -
Bases loaded
Last inning
Nope - you play your infield in on the edge of the grass to cut off the run at the plate in case you don’t turn the 643 or 463.
And there are PLENTY of 423 or 623 DP’s. I’ve scored at least three or four this year alone in Class A ball.
bleeep about the art all you want but watch somemore baseball if you’re going to talk about the game itself………..
isn’t the catcher facing the wrong way to throw to first base? Looks like a wind up to go to third, unless this is the peg around the infield following the play…
But do you peg it around on a game ending play? I never did, then again I only played High School ball

The “M” on their jerseys must be sweat activated?

The ol’ 4-2-3 double play. Happens all the time. I think the Cubs turned one in the ‘45 World Series, which they lost to the Tigers.

Common as an 8-2-4 double play I would say.

He needs to cut off his sleeves but he’s definitely got the guns to be a young Klu.

Yay! What a happy strip today! Three cheers for music and baseball. Back to poking fun in the future, but for now, yay!

Just a real small head.

Who said the guy in P3 is the pitcher? Couldn’t it be the first baseman? (or anyone else for that matter)

Game-ending double plays aside, why did the “M” on Derek’s jersey suddenly start singing?

I see high school kids as big as the guy in panel 3 all the time.
Ahem.

Actually the kid in P3 is only about 3.5 inches tall. I used a ruler to check.
