Adam: Okay. Let's talk about summer camps. Laura: Ballet for Katy. Computers for Clayton. Music for Nick. Adam: And I'll do home-camp: couch-cushion forts. Sock puppets, meat smoking and smores by the fireplace. Laura: Oh good, that means I'll be going to clean-the-home camp. Adam: Ew. Mine sounds better.

Morning Doc,
Well, we probably both know that Adam isn’t much into cleaning up. I figure even a drop or two left in his cup is self-replicating.

Music camp for Nick? He’s a toddler! What’s his instrument? Kazoo? Jack-in-the-Box? 5-note xylophone?

What, you don’t remember song flutes (they call them something different now)? Or recorders (which have pretty much crowded out song flutes)?
Hey, you can teach a kid to sing using the Kodaly Method (including those interesting John Curwen hand-signs, which he allegedly stole from a woman, for the notes) at that age.

@fritzoid: If he could sing, his instrument would be the autotune.

In grade school, we learned to play a black plastic instrument called a Tonette. I still remember the songs in the song book and I’m thankful I got a great music education in school–:).

Laura needs Calvin’s replicating box to make a few extra of her. Then Adam can play with box afterwards!
