She already knows. And so does everyone Gordo and Teena hang out with.“Teena, can we talk about the birds and the bees?” “Sure thing, Mom. What do you want to know?”
My siblings and I spent a lot of time on my grandparent’s farm, so our parents really didn’t need to explain much. We knew the basic idea, at least among animals, by the time we were ten or so. (I was going to make a joke about how I still make my wife squeal like a pig, but that brought up images of “Deliverance.”)
