I did walk to school (.7 mile) and it was up and down and up hill. Biked when I saved up enough to buy a Swinn and then biked. Still biked on good days after I got a old, old first car at 16.
i had to google it, but growing up in RI, i had to walk 1.6 miles to school from 5th grade to 8th grade, in snow and rain, etc…if we were lucky one of our parents might be available to give us a ride…me, Phil, and Johnny, then Kevin and Joey too
