I’ve never liked Lucy.

Hmmm, I thought…. Never mind, going into the gutter.

I remember “love beads”—part of the move toward “androgyny” as seen by some in the late 60s and early 70s. Guys wearing traditionally “feminine” colours and flower prints, beads etc. I remember my siblings and self being given candy “love beads” by an uncle. My mother would have been outraged, if they hadn’t been edible…but then she was outraged by most things.

Snoopy was always on the cutting edge of fashion & style.

Of course Snoopy is better.

It didn’t even look like she whipped those beads over Schroeder’s head…surprised it’s still attached to his neck.

Like, love beads from the late 1960’s made by Lucy originally made for Schroeder passed on to Snoopy.

Weirdly enough, I love the sound that beads make.

It’s similar to the sound of snooker balls clacking against each other.

The truth hurts…

I survived the 70s, and it really depresses me when I have to go back through them. But I still love “Peanuts.”

Of course Lucy had issues…Snoopy….just cool.

However, Lucy van Pelt is written as a bully, crabby, bossy, and opinionated girl and a bad baseball player. Readers minimum expectation are to see better behavior. This child is a sociopath. How about getting her some help!
