Just the meaning of the word has changed. In this instance, it translates to “affirmative!” Although ice cream does sound pretty awesome right now.

And “awesome” does not mean mediocre, and “awful” does not mean full of awe. How did we get here?

My wife, 65 years young, has worked with 20-somethings for several years now. Her favorite word these days is… yeah, you guessed it.

Far out.

Only one thing is truly awesome, and it is NOT ice cream.

Ice cream is always awesome.

If you’re a plugger, ice cream IS awesome !

“Awesome” is certainly better than “Have a nice day!”
