Cats have a great variety of personality types, just like dogs. Some cats are much more dependent on and attached to people than others. Some dogs can only tolerate one person, and can even be dangerous to other people.
Sometimes cats become symbolic of women, dogs of men. Reminds me of the critic who said the problem of the sexes is that both men and women are in love with the same bunch, women.

That’s a typical cat for you. I sure wouldn’t want to depend on one if I was stuck in quicksand like the guy in the commercial.

If we’re gone for more than a day, we get the miffed treatment from our babies, too. I guess the staff shouldn’t abandon them.
