Joe, what does the Constitution have to do with family social dynamics?
I’ve been trying for years to get everyone I know to stop giving me gifts (for whatever occasion), but somehow I don’t think invoking Jefferson will do the trick…
I give my husband Christmas and birthday gifts. Not Father’s day- - -‘cause he is not my father! And he, for me vice versa, no Mother’s day gifts, ‘cause I’m not his mother.
