Frazz by Jef Mallett for September 11, 2015
Transcript:
Boy: Geez! First week of school and I embarassed myself royally! Frazz: That's good! Now you can quit worrying. It's like that first scratch on a new car. Boy: Sure. If school were more like a roadster and a scratch were more like a loud...Frazz: You'll get over it. Eventually.

I guess his plan for a flawless school image backfired.

The burp is just a breath of airComing from the heart. But when it hits the lower tract,It then becomes a fart.

Some teachers could use this as a classic “teachable moment”; you could go with a lesson on the performance of the digestive tract or a discussion on social norms involving normal physical functions.Or, just laugh with the class and move on (maybe after opening a window…)

I do. In Miss Hudson’s fifth grade class Tony M. was waving his hand desperately during a quiet time study period. She studiously ignored him. After a time his hand come down and he laid his notebook on his lap. Don H. also figured out what happening and Don H. was relentless in his teasing. Honest, I’m not Tony but I’ve detested Miss Hudson ever since. What a lousy teacher.
