A sheet of paper = a lazy dog.

A sheet of paper is an ink-lined plane.

An inclined plane is a slope up

A slow pup is a lazy dog.

I’ll bet Stewart is a member of the Ballard Street APC (anti-pulley club). They’re kind of like the Jets as opposed the the Sharks. There’s trouble brewing here….

The important question is whether that plane is inclined to take off.

HAPPY X 3 – go look at today’s (June 24, 2020) Ballard Street. It was clearly drawn specifically for you.

Gloria indulges Stewart in his peculiar interest. After all, it doesn’t bother anybody.

Cleo, the usual prescription for a hot spot is the Cone of Shame.

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plane.

So glad to see you all!

My internet service has been off for hours… but now I can join you for the

June 24th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”

If you’re new here… read it on Sherpa.

Hmmm… does that first speech balloon in Panel 3 really belong to Clara?

Seems odd she’d call those words common… and then say she doesn’t know them.

But yeah… I bought a computer, of sorts, in 1986…

    a Commodore 128… they didn’t have Windows…

and no modem, so no internet…

Learned to use the internet, all in text, on library computers, in the early 1990’s.

I can remember seeing computer commercials right around that time, showing things that seemed like pure magic…

Pasting parts of different pictures together and emailing the result… printing greeting cards and newsletters with photos in them.

No more than 5 years later I was doing all that…. and it still seemed like magic….

even though I was still using Windows 3.1, and saving small changes to a picture or a document took about 5 minutes.

That seems unbearable now… but it was no time at all, when it was amazing technology.

Got dial-up internet about 1997 …. DSL didn’t come to this neighborhood till 2006.

Somewhere in there I taught myself whatever came along, till I was tutoring computer newbies myself…

and yet… in some ways, it was, and it’s STILL, all new and shiny.

I’m amazed to touch a few keys and see what’s happening in places I only dreamed of 25 years ago…

Look up any word, any information, chat with a friend in Ireland, order something on Amazon or eBay…..

And I can even do most of that on a teeny smartphone… the world in my pocket…

besides making calls while I’m miles from home.

I guess that’s why I still love figuring out computer stuff.

    It’s magic.

The first rule of rashes, Cleo, don’t talk about your rash!

This Ballard Street reminded me of someone……not to get political.

The reason Cleo has that rash is because she’s been sitting on that couch way too long. I did notice that Gocomics has added something to the main page. When you are done reading a comic and go back to the main page, there is a rectangle around the comic that you’ve been reading. I just wonder what 5 year old child they contacted to put that extra feature on the main page. And does this mean that they will fix Sherpa in 20 years?
