I love the way they are mesmerized and then leap into action! the wand is a universally loved toy.

My Spencer would have snagged it at first jump and destroyed the feather in an instant! sigh Katie would never have had a chance at it.

My parents have exotic birds so I bring home feathers longer than the cats. Big fun at my house. Feathers on strings and on elastics. Sometimes I just leave the feathers in the floor and the kitties carry them throughout the house before disassembling them.

My Dean is the same as your Blue, I have to hide wand toys with feathers as he’s always trying to keep them from his brother – no toy sharing in my house :)

With one of my cats, it is too easy. When I buy a new feather on a stick, I get a replacement feather also. The one on the stick is for the other two, the replacement is for Buddy. He will play with that until it is destroyed. And I don’t have to lift a finger.

I bought a scratching thing (it’s not really a post as it is just a curved pad) that came with a stick that had a feather on top. I set it out and my cats ripped it right out of the base and decimated it.

I bought my cas a quail wing. Someone on Etsy was selling them as cat toys and it was insanely popular. A little messy, but so fun watching them run around the house with a mouth full of feathers, growling at the other kitties.

Another great kitty amuser is a Slurpee straw with a hole poked in the ‘spoon’ end. Tie a string through the hole and drag it around the kitchen. The sound of the straw rattling on a hard floor drives them wild.

Does Puck jump for it, or does he chase the feather when it’s on the floor?
