    He’s got a lot on his plate….

There’s a big deal going on with Paninis….But before they close the lid on it, there are a few bits he’d like ironed out.

Where are they coming up with that much bread? Is it true it’s all from Italy?

Is the whole idea half baked? His wife thought the product was cheesy.

He knows they’re going to grill him, too…But he’s a ham at heart, and he doesn’t mind the heat.

Susan, Gopher,Re: thoughtful and measured response …Apparently Susan’s comment yesterday “sensationalised, ignorant news reporting and blowhard on-air “talent”” isn’t name-calling or ideological.Quantify for me how Fox is more sensationalised and blowharded than CNN or MSNBC, or even Weather.com for goodness sake! Define “ignorant” in a way that isn’t name-calling.Editors and directors make decisions all the time – what to report on, how to report it. It isn’t possible for these decisions – by anyone – can be without bias.

Long before any .coms, Samuel Clemens said "“If you don’t read the newspaper, you’re uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you’re mis-informed.”

gopher, by definition a conservative favors old values while a liberal favors new ideas. By definition a racist makes distinctions between people based on their race. The two have no bearing on one another, so of course it is possible to be either a conservative racist or a liberal racist. I’m not saying that you are one, just that they certainly can exist. I totally agree with you that personal insults do not belong on these boards. These are comic strips. We come here to smile, not get in political arguments!

durn, I am sorry I missed the guy’s post yesterday. It must have been a doozy! No wonder that in polite society at least, the less said of politics, religion and money, the better. But I did say polite society, not “conservative” or “liberal”, so never mind.

Thanks gg, but re: “nobody said …”“Fox has a specific demographic – uneducated”“Fox News where the ignorant go to become even more ignorant”“those poor souls who trust it…. I do think they’re naive”Plenty who say Fox is the worst, or at least unlike other news that is not at the bottom of the barrel.

Anyway, thanks again. I’ve always enjoyed your comments. I’d be glad to communicate outside of gocomics (click on my “avatar”).
