Ya think Derek would have called Gil himself after the first break down, so Derek has been up all night dealing with breakdowns and dying vans, there is no way he can pitch effectively, but alas this is Milford, Comic-Ville USA.
Cassie is going to get her fingers smashed at the next foul ball.
Why doesn’t the Gilfather send one of his limos to pick up Slim and bring him to the game, like the Red Sox do?
Milford Limo and Hearse Service (owned by a series of dummy corporations that are impossible to trace back to the real owner, Thorp) surely has vehicles ready for whenever the Gilfather calls.
What about Cassie or Coach Kaz? Can’t they make a quick run to pick up the star pitcher? Don’t people have other people’s backs in this cartoon? I also think that Observe69 is right. I mean, come on…this is MILFord.
Apparently the Gilfather has no curfew for his players, since he not only condoned, but helped instigate the Long Shots’ trip, knowing that it would entail an all-night drive back to Milford. What kind of a message does this send to his players?
I can’t believe nobody made the observation about Marty Moon in P3. It appears he had some really “bad” Mexican food either prior to the game or the night before … it appears he is pushing so hard his head is splitting open on the right side.

Marty’s nose casts a huge shadow.

Gil Thorp laughs in the face of technology – no mobile phone for Coach.
