Unless you have really close friends you hope to see, reunions are a TOTAL waste of time and travel! Even my 50th (at which I hoped people would have grown out of “cliques” and such… such total trash! I wouldn’t go around the corner again to see any (much less travel across country) and the Hilton which had the event was a joke- -rubber eggs and other inedibles even for our breakfast buffet!!
Never go to any event at a Hilton which is catered by the hotel. Always a big mistake.
Joe, so far I’ve missed my 10-year and 20-year reunions (well, perhaps “missed” is a strong word) – at the 10-year, I had just married and moved 1,200 miles, and couldn’t afford to go; for the 20th, two years ago, I was less than a year on a new job and couldn’t take the time off. Maybe I’ll make it to the 30th; I’ve been lucky enough to only be contacted by class representatives with some social grace and IQs of at least 95.
