One: it’s a five-second time delay for TV censors to intercept any foul language.Two: Vin Scully is in the hospital and will miss broadcasting during the playoffs. May all true baseball fans say a prayer for him.

Vin Scully is very good. But my all-time favorite was Jack Buck. “Go crazy folks, go crazy”

I think Vin is the best also. We Braves fans have Don Sutton, stylistically a lot like Vin (as you may expect.)

did’nt Vin just have some kind of surgery?

I used to do the TV/radio thing with LSU and N.O. Saints games until they put in the 5-second delay.

Too bad Vin is out for the playoffs… he just had a ‘medical procedure’ done and he’s out for the rest of the year.

So now we know the Drabbles live in L.A. Adding my thoughts for Vinny — he could read the phone book and make it sound like a Pulitzer Prize winner. WIN FOR VINWIN FOR VINWIN FOR VIN!

Vin Scully is that good to make it happen.

They make a radio you can adjust for the TV delay. We always use it for the local team’s announcer who is WAY better than those clowns on TV.

Been listening to Vin Scully since he arrived in L.A., around 1955 or 56 (can’t remember). It’s always been a wonder to me how he can make something out of nothing; probably it’s the 1001 baseball stories he can recall that make his broadcasts such a treasure.

Pray for Vin. He is being operated on for a medical condition and will be out for the rest of the season, but he says he will be back next year. Love him so much!

All together now, If I only had a brain?!?!?!

Unfortunately, no Vinny for these playoffs. Some sort of medical problem. Hoping him a speedy and full recovery!
