There’s a post-WW II movie set in Berlin about saving a scientist who is trying to put things back together being kidnapped. A Russian soldier, a Frenchman, an Englishman and an American (representing the partitioned Berlin) band together to rescue him, then go their separate ways afterwards, having formed a mutual respect. All the others are going back to peace and hopefulness. The young Russian soldier is going back to Stalin’s Russia, after all he’s been through. Heartbreaking.

I wonder if the cat’s name was inspired by the Hannibal Lecter-impersonating cat from “Shaun the Sheep.”
