Well, the name “Hidden Oaks” is accurate since they cut all of them down to build the subdivision.

Yes, they name the subdivision “Oak Grove” after all the Oaks are chopped down. Or “Maple Village”, all the old Maples are gone. The subdivisions should be named “Paved Lanes” or “Carport Grove”.

They’re usually not disguised that well. I think in particular of a very scraggly looking tree in the middle of an open field in the county — an large, open field beside a church, where there are no other trees, just open grass and paved parking.
