Most ticks are hemovores, living on blood. Not much threat to a vampire, except as competition. Carnivorous brain ticks? Leopold is the one who needs to worry. They’d starve in Gary’s skull. Maybe they went over to Eeek! for some pickled brains.
I hate to say it, but this brilliant comic may be passing its peak. The frequent deep-and-meaningfuls between Gary and Leopold are no substitute for the hilarious confrontations between monsters and neighbours, and the guest monsters like Frank and Steve and the Demon Toddler.
I hope I’m wrong.

I think for Gary’s sake we need to know–how many brain ticks, Leopold, and how big? Is there a cure or antidote? Can they survive on undead brain?
This has got to be really eating away at Gary!

I don’t know what’s so funny here; I agree with everything Gary’s said.

If you are simultaneously terrified of cheese and enjoy cheese, that sounds like a description of the early stages of courting.

If only the brain tics would toc, but we can’t get the time of day from them.
