Jason: Ha! Found it!
Marcus: Too late. I'm pretty sure I rounded all the bases.
Jason: If you ask me, the World Series would be a truer fall classic if they trucked in leaves.
Marcus: That's what, my fourth home run bunt in a row?
I was following baseball because my hometown Twins almost made the playoffs, only one season after firing the head coach they had for decades and losing over 100 games. Then I was following it to see if the Cubs could make it.
Speaking of “Home Run Bunt”, I read about a home run in a minor-league game that went maybe two feet in front of home plate. There was a big mud puddle there and, by the time the catcher found the ball, the batter had circled the bases.
I could never get into baseball – it’s just too violent – throwing a ball at someone, swinging that bat around . . . I much prefer nice non-violent sports like hockey and lacrosse :P
Yes… why on earth is a US competition called the ‘World Series’? (maybe because in the rest of the world schoolkids play rounders, while grownups play cricket, football(the sort you play with FEET not hands) or rugby…)

Better grab some rakes and bags, boys… if you’re that strong enough.

Yeah, the Cubs got me excited again – briefly. Same as last time.

Is there a comparative form of “true”? Superlative"

Following isn’t the same as watching. I was just checking things out to see how they were doing, not actually watching the games.
