I don’t think I’ve ever seen a squirrel gather a walnut or butternut. They always eat them on the spot. Collect and bury acorns, yep. Kinda like Jethro Tull, “saving their raisins for Sunday”.
Looked more to me like a comment on current management practices: three are doing the directing — and only one is doing the actual work!
