Lincoln – a racist, war-mongering tyrant that trampled the Constitution and would have been willing to execute every slave in the country to maintain his power base (based on history and his own writings).

The “Grand Old Party” is now so morally and philosophically bankrupt that there ARE no good candidates! — for President, for Speaker, or apparently for anything!

Wait, I thought Carmen was on the Fiorina-Bunny train.

Traitors has a specific meaning under the US Constitution.The States that seceded from the Union believed that they had the right to secede under the 10th Amendment to the US Constitution. Having seceded, the attack on Fort Sumner was an attempt to prevent an invasion by a foreign country.Had Lincoln used diplomacy rather than sending an armed fleet to South Carolina, the War between the States may have been entirely avoided, with the Union being restored by legal actions. (Probably not while Lincoln was President, but within a 5 to 12 year time frame.)

Trust me, none of these people is a secret Lincoln. Lincoln engaged in hours-long debates with Douglas, with very complex ideas. Nowadays, candidates who speak at a fourth-grade level are lionized. Although I really think Trump is at a first-grade level. “It’s gonna be beautiful! You’re gonna love it!”
