I’ve heard some pretty self-defecating humor in my life. But “We’ll burn that bridge when we come to it” has long been one of my favorite mangled idioms. Been using it for decades.

My wife just mangles names, like TV shows: “The Andy Griffen Show”, “Steinfeld”; and she likes that new show starring that guy from “Home Improvements”… you know, Tim the Tailor. And, thanks to “Mary Poppins” and Dick Van Dyke, Santa comes down the “chimeny”.

My Brazilian neighbor next door gets her “ee” and “I” sounds confused. She’ll say bitch instead of beach and s**t instead of sheet!
