Great get-up on Doug. My bully boy Flash used to steal the dragonflies from his brother Echo … and then chomp down on the poor thing. Haven’t seen one in ages…they are such perfect little beauties.
1) I want to move to where ever it is that Doug and Sophie are living, and 2) We get lots of dragonflies in our yard in NJ. They dip over the pool in the really gnatty months and keep the yard free of the little critters.
I grew up in southern NYS calling the skinny ones “darning needles,” though according to Wikipedia, those are mostly damselflies. We have both dragonflies and damselflies in northern Virginia, as far as I can tell.

We got dragon flies, horse flies and house flies in NC. Brian can go some places with this one. BAK!
