Buenos dias mi loco ochos!

Since it’s the 4th of July holiday, we will have vanilla ice cream cake decorated with red strawberries and blueberries, Pirate Coffee, teas, and assorted juices. Ice Cream isn’t a usual breakfast fare, but what the heck! We have all weekend to eat whatever we want, right?

Yummy, red, white, and blue breakfast! We’ll be marching in the parade with the Rock Club today!

Buenos dias. I guess everyone is either sleeping in or busy with RL. Happy July 4th Weekend.

*Howdy Cleo! I just got up about 1/2 ago, glanced at morning newspaper, checked out Kabuto on Fox News, they always have a Saturday morning stock program on, grabbed some coffee and here I am. I expect it will be quiet this weekend though. One of our troop is camping in the “boonies”, LOL!

I am sure that person probably made a point of taking along plenty of liquid nourishment.

Baldo’s dreams? Will they become a reality?

Quiet day. I’m at the edge of ANY kind of electronic communication! This signal drifts in & out!

I went to the farmer’s market and have been watering. I just watched our annual boat parade, where people decorate themselves and their boats and go around the lake. It is pretty pathetic really, but it is fun to see people out enjoying themselves. If any of you wander by I am home now for the day and will check in occasionally.

Cleo They do that here too, only people build rafts and decorate them with whatever theme they want. And they float down the river. Then there is a talent contest, anyone can enter, if they are an amateur, there’s fireworks and what not.

I’ll keep checking back, too. I’ve been out all day mostly. Hate to tell you both, but the weather here is GORGEOUS!!! 90 DEGRESS, CLEAR BLUE SKY, NO HUMIDITY!!!!!

Beautiful afternoon here to, mid to high 60s, which is fine for me. My favorite temps are from 65 to the upper 70s. It is quiet on the lake for a holiday weekend though. Yesterday it looked like it was shaping up to be busy. We will see what tomorrow brings.

They are setting off fireworks in town now. I could see them from the top of the hill. We used to take the boys in when they were younger. I must say, they are pretty good for this area. My dad would have turned 97 tmr. If he hadn’t fallen, I think he would still be here, as healthy as ever for his age, and still in his house. He was a “Firecracker Baby!”

(((Dry))) I know this isn’t the same thing as losing your dad, but on Wednesday It is LilG’s birthday and that is the day Cleo died.

JFri, did you get sun down there? We had a beautiful afternoon, but it was cloudy this morning. I can’t complain though. We got to sit on the deck in sunshine, over dinner.

We are taking a break while LilG talks to her bro in LA. I thought I would check in, but you are all obviously having fun elsewhere.

Hola Carmy & Dry. I am awake and LilG has gone to bed. A rarity, I assure you. We watched the end of one movie and most of another, which I found very interesting, perhaps that is why I stayed awake.

We were watching “How About You” an Irish movie, which was quite good.
