Go get it, boy! I will in a sec- but wouldn't it be cool if tennis balls were soaked in beef broth before they left the tennis ball factory? No, silly. They'd be too wet and heavy to play tennis with. Tennis balls are used for tennis?!
You’ll want to dry it with the tennis balls in the dryer, to help keep the down distributed properly and not clump up. I prefer eco-friendly dryer balls made from alpaca hair. No artificial ingredients to “cook” in the dryer on my clothes.
Rover has a good idea for the pet store version. However Jo Clear is right they would certainly need to be marked for non-aggressive chewers. My Dachshund Tino would eat the plain tennis balls and we had to restrict his access to the hard rubber chew bones for the same reason.
Back the Tennis ball, surly every one here has seen the video of the Dachshund putting the tennis ball in the automatic ball shooter over and over
TexMichaelWith ours (fox terrier/beagle), a tennis ball would last less than a day. A hard plastic “bone” would last a few months before it was small enough to be a choking hazard.
I’ve seen “meat” flavored balls at PetSmart. I’d rather give my dog something more natural.
A tennis ball that’s been used as a tennis ball is a much better bet for a dog because the worst of the fluff has been knocked off. Some dogs inhale the fluff into their lungs, and that causes problems.
When my brother played tennis, he’d collect all the old tennis balls left by other players and bring me a five-gallon bucket of them for my golden retriever. Molly was prone to wander into the woods with them and leave them.
If tennis balls were seeds, I’d have an incredible number of tennis trees now.
My last dog did not like the fuzz of tennis ball ! She would lay down and carefully peel the fuzz off ! She would then play fetch .If you used a fuzzy one ,she would chase it but never pick it up !
Our Alex (the original Marley) would have said WHAT THE PLAY TENNIS WITH TENNIS BALLS..no I chew them, lick them…however the beef broth idea would be a grand idea!

Maybe McEnroe would have chewed on a tennis ball rather than chewing out the officiating.
