East is the tricky one! If you travel directly north, south, east or west from Stamford, Connecticut, you will enter the state of New York. Buddhist monk Endo Mitsunaga walked 26 miles a day around Mount Hiei, Japan, for 1000 days- about one trip around the earth! Skach Koyl is the traditional sport of drunken horseback riding, marking the end of the Day of the Dead celebrations on Nov. 1st in Todos Santos, Guatemala.

Re: Stamford, CT… I think the same can be said of Greenwich and New Canaan, CT as well.

I had to look up where Stamford is in Connecticut; it’s in one county among several that juts into New York state. The eastern part of Jordan juts into Iraq, so that whether one goes north, east or south from that part of Jordan, he’s entering Iraq.

Or maybe I’m thinking of Syria, surrounding the eastern jutting provinces of Jordan.I also think that the southeast county of Missouri juts towards the northeast corner of Arkansas, so that Arkansans who head east or north of that area will find themselves in Missouri.

If you walk directly South or East you end up in Long Island Sound, If you walk West you end up in the Hudson River. I’d defiantly go North.
