Jet-lagging an entire continent for something that allegedly helped farmers, who would be more likely to be getting up with the sun than an alarm, never made much sense to me. Just costs productive time, makes people cranky, is expensive (lost revenue from poorer work), and causes higher instances of some health complications. I look forward to when DST gets phased out
Don’t complain. Do something. If the congress and senate can clog up legislation for days so that our elected officials can complain that they don’t understand why we need anything better than incandescent light bulbs, we need to get them to sunset DST before spring or replace them. Write your senators and representatives now to end DST before spring.
The California Energy Commission found DST to save 0.18% percent of energy, which might be statistical error and may as well be zero percent since it is of no significance. Indiana found increased energy usage attributed to HVAC costs overwhelming lighting costs. DST was thought up in the era of candles; we don’t need to conserve candle wax.

Not all clocks. Not hand wound ones, for sure. Car dashboard clocks… maybe some do but ours don’t.
