If that was a true South American Parrot (idiotus Balonious) it would be more colors than black and white. Also, horizontal stripes were not produced in the Western Hemisphere till the 17 th century.
Pirate is now used to denote anyone who steals intellectual property.
I had a friend who I met on my first excursion to Mars who told me space pirates are more common than they were.

And here was an opportunity missed to explain that in the history of pirates, there is no account of any pirate forcing anyone to ever walk a plank.
And you might throw in the fact that parrots do not sweat. And on and on, ad naseum.
