Hey, I think we can save gas money if we carpool to work. Oh ha ha. Yeah, right. And the stars will just keep on burning forever. Seriously, what's the matter with you? Suspicion that something violates conservation of energy Knowledge of physics

Very “xkcd” of you.

Naw. The stars will get caught in the same traffic jams that the carpool will be in. It is there they will meet proton death.

No. I’ve worked it all out. Less thermal energy will result in more fresh water resources. I’ve got the specifics and figures all incorporated in my computer model. But you can’t see that, or the data. You wouldn’t understand anyway.

So what’s been going on with Mr. Weinersmith these past weeks? For five times during the past month he has been slow in updating his SMBC and Snowflakes strips, failing to post some but posting others a day late on the day he successfully posts them. Over the past month, GoComics readers have seen belated posts of the two aforementioned strips on October 11, 22, and 25, and on November 5, but the strips that had been intended for publication on October 10, 21, 24, and November 4 were not posted at all. If the strips intended for publication yesterday—November 7—are not posted tomorrow, or at all, even if the strips intended for today’s publication appear belatedly, this would be the fifth time this has happened within the past month. Besides, the Snowflakes strip that had been scheduled for publication on September 20 was not posted. How much longer will this persist? In the meantime, those who read SMBC on the strip’s website, myself included, are aware that the strips thereon differ from those posted on GoComics. Enough said, for now.
