Of course, the humans chose the wrong species (again) and even had to split the poster into two:

They might be better if they were attached to a car.

    Hi, Cleo family….

I see there’s another menacing poster from StelBel….

for the July 14th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” on Sherpa.

Ooooh… not sure I can see “The Bassets” again, though.

It was much too scary the first time!

I get the chills even thinking about it…. brrrrr…

Yippi Houndron has said in interviews that she was scared, herself…..

especially after some live bassets were used in a scene where she was promised they’d all be mechanical.

He also kept her chained up away from the other cast members….

Recently, she has said that was all part of Alfred Hitchdog’s bullying and intimidation of her…..

along with other things he did…. even sniffing her inappropriately, in spite of having a devoted mate of his own.

We’ll never know the whole truth.

I do believe the story, though, that she barked to an interviewer…. "He’s a dog! "

    Just look at him….

What jowls. He looks like he could be part bulldog!

I don’t think he is, cos he’s a famous basset director….. but his face sure looks intimidating, doesn’t it!

Anyhow… yes, there was a human movie.

As you can see from the posters, both the director and the film had birds in their names.

How can a bird possibly match a basset in scare power?

    It can’t.

I did find a weird image made for the human/bird version….

Maybe trying to up the fear quotient, since the film lacked the teeth and jaws that make angry bassets so terrifying….

to say nothing of their sheer size advantage over birds.

Can you imagine if those were bassets in that cage?

I don’t think it could be done.

Good Morning Farside, Tigressy, Liverlips, Dennis, DROOB!, Susan, Dry and Dusty, Happy! X3, Nighthawks, ML and anyone else that I have missed! (put your alias in the replies, please) my memory … um … yeah… that.

Q-days… count ’em! 123 Ah Ah AAAaaaah 123 days of quarantining!

I can’t get behind the horror genre of this movie. How do resist those faces? You just wanna squish ‘em and hug ’em and love ’em and call them George. Give out belly rubs and they won’t be scary at all.

Y’all be kind to each other and your web-footed friends. (((((HUGS)))))

    I dozed off… now it’s waaay late….

just gotta mention before I go…

When I first saw the Ballard St strip above… I thought Tony wanted the doors installed on his person.

He always wanted to be a 2-door model.

But yeah, that was too weird to think about…so I figured they were car doors…

but if so… they’re buggin’ me.

Maybe somebody left them cos they’re made all wrong.

The one in the foreground appears to have a rear view mirror attached, and a slanted front edge…

    so it’s the front driver’s side door…

but isn’t the hinge supposed to be on the outside edge, not the inner edge?

The other door is lying interior side up…. it’s a rear door (no slant.)

    oh… wait… if it’s the rear driver’s side door…. it’s made OK.

Now all Tony needs is someone to fix the front hinges…

    plus…

    the passenger side door…. and let’s see… oh yeah… a car.

One that’s missing all the doors.

    Good night…. sigh…..

Yep. The next howl you heard was Me!!! I made the mistake to watch the beginning so I could see Sir Alfred P Hitchdog walk through the set, and I stayed too long before I joined Susan behind the couch. Aaaarrrrooooooooo!

What will be even more scary is when the evil cat and his friends jump on them and eat them in front of the viewers.
