Ah, yes, another predictable formula used by cartoonists everywhere……. The old alien-leaf-collection-faulty-Earth-axis-Christmas-stocking gag…….. Seen it many times…… Why is Bill Watterson so unoriginal?

That tilt and it’s aspect to the sun makes us a gigantic ‘tilt-a-whirl’ or ‘stirred, not shaken’ body of water in the sky that pumps winds and weather wherever there’s a difference between cold and warm zones. Sorta like nature’s HVAC system !Leave the dam thermostat ALONE !!

Had Calvin studied geography, he could suggest they go to the Tropics. It rarely snows there—and then only at high altitudes. Like Kilimanjaro, or the Andes.
