We are to assume those two individuals are Mary and Joseph but I think it should be pointed out that they were NOT refugees. Mary and Joseph followed the Roman decree to return to their home cities so that they might be taxed. They later became refugees to avoid Herrod’s persecution of first born sons but that was in Egypt.
But the point of the cartoon stands: just like the ebola crisis, the GOP wets its pants, forgets what it means to be Christian and American, at the first whiff of trouble. These people should not be allowed to govern a free people. Americans kill more Americans in a week with guns than ISIS killed in Paris in a year. Man up.

This is a good cartoon. We have plenty of Christian Extremists in this country making mischief, why would we want to add to the burden?
Abortion clinic bombers, Westboro, Timothy McVey, KKK, the list goes on.
Heaven save us from Zealots of all faiths.

It is amazing how our christian governors apparently are quite selective in loving their fellow man.
