Baby: Dad? why do people have to die? Dicky: Oh no! It's "the death talk!" Already?! Ok, keep it together...I can do this.. Dicky: Well, champ..death is just a natural part of life. Everything dies. Eventually... I know it stinks, but that's just how it is... (sniffle) Baby: Are you gonna die someday too? Dicky: Oh, God..(sniffle) Well, sure. (sniffle) but, ugh.. (sniffle) No time soon, ok ? Baby: But daddy I don't want you to die! Dicky: (sob) well, you better stop talking kid-cause you're killing me right now ! (sob)

When I learned about death, ny first thought was “why bother? What’s the point”my 2nd thought was anger, what a dirty trick !I still think that to some extent.

Yep. That’s a hard conversation to have. Kids can be inconsolable.
